Cinema is coming back to Ormskirk town centre, after almost 40 years, as part of a fantastic programme of events planned at the gallery this spring.
Visitors can see Friday Night Films and the gallery cinema will also host and a number of film clubs too.
Friday Night Films will take place twice a month and begin with musical movies and great book adaptations. Hairspray, the original cult musical movie, will be the first film screened on Friday 10 May and will delight lovers of musicals. Be sure not to miss the historic opening night film by booking your tickets in advance, as they are sure to sell fast. Dress up as well to make it an unforgettable evening.

Film fans can pay £6 for a cinema ticket or make a night of it and book a cinema ticket and two-course meal for £20, and enjoy a meal prepared by the award winning Modern Caterer.
Places for dining are limited so must be booked in advance from the online menu. A licensed bar will also be available.
In addition to the Friday Night Films there will be a number of midweek film clubs available too:
Every Wednesday at 10am, “Hello Baby Cinema Club”, will offer an opportunity for with anyone with a pre-schooler to relax and enjoy a big screen adventure, low level lighting will be provided.
At 1pm on Wednesdays a Silver Screen Cinema Club will provide the opportunity to revisit some of the most memorable films screened over the decades.
Also on Saturdays at 2pm families can enjoy a great cinematic adventure at the Film Matinee Club.
Information on Hello Baby, Silver Screen and Saturday Matinee Club films will be displayed on a notice board within the gallery and on a flyer, as well as being emailed to members.
Cinema isn’t the only exciting attraction on offer at the Gallery this spring with folk nights taking place once a month and a wide range of activities for those looking to get fit or take up a new hobby.
